Tri-City Healthcare District is truly a Gem! It can be so much more with Board members who are committed to professionalism and make decisions based on the public good, rather than personalities.

Closing the Pediatric unit was a decision that should have been given more scrutiny and public input. The issue should be revisited.

Working with the Hospital administration, the Board must establish policies which will further the public interest and ensure that quality, affordable health care is available to everyone.

Coalitions with other health care providers must be reinforced to reach all segments of the community: the emergency room should not have to serve as a primary care facility.

Hospital staff's needs must be addressed. Providing incentives to hire and maintain competent and caring staff is paramount in providing quality healthcare to patients.
