Conservation

By Jack Beebe

Candidate for Director; Soquel Creek Water District

This information is provided by the candidate
The District has been awarded the Association of California Water Agencies Gold Star for its conservation efforts.
We have an outstanding, multi-facted conservation program that has grown tremendously in recents years and is a model for all of Santa Cruz County. I have consistantly supported increases in spending to make our conservation program aggresive, innovative, and comprehensive .We were the first local water agency to offer rebates for water-efficient clothes washers, and for the replacement of high water use toilets with low water use models. Our conservation programs are continually expanding and our efforts are producing results.Recently we received statewide recognition for our teacher training program .Conservation will continue to be a focus, and I will continue to support expanding this program.
