DENNIS ZELL Age: 33
Occupation: Lawyer

Hello, my name is Dennis Zell and I want your vote to be the Republican candidate for the 8th District Senate seat in the California Legislature.

I am the proud father of two wonderful children and the lucky husband of their incredible mother Bridget. I was born and raised in Burlingame where our family now resides.

A lifelong Republican, I'm now 1st Vice Chairman of the San Mateo County Republican Party. When I and other reformers were elected two years ago, we found a dysfunctional and ineffective organization. Republican registration dropped nearly 20% during the Clinton Years. Most of San Mateo County hasn't been represented by a Republican in the California Legislature since the Reagan Revolution. In December, Democrats outnumbered Republicans by registration 168,887 to 90,988.

Our new leadership has halted the decline in registration and is rebuilding the grass-roots volunteer organization necessary to obtain parity, and eventually majority. We've embraced the warm spirit of "compassionate conservativism" as defined by President Bush. We've listened to the voices of women who want our party to focus on pragmatic issues such as improving education, rather than engaging in divisive ideological debates about social issues. We've listened to the voices of businesspeople, workers, and families who want solutions to the California energy crisis and transportation quagmire.

Don't be left in the dark or stuck in traffic. Support my efforts to win back the California Legislature by visiting http://www.vote4zell.com. To effectuate change in our party and our state I need your generous contributions, and most importantly, your vote!

/s/ Dennis Zell
