Claremont serves as model city for many who appreciate a vital intellectual and cultural life as well as unique commercial venue.

For many others, the reality includes a feeling of alienation from a city administration that greets complaints with disdain or contempt.

The term "inclusion" has been overworked by the incumbent city council as a cure for these ills. Pretending to hear is not the same as listening. To me, inclusion means making the city's decision processes and performance results more "transparent" so that all of us can participate in the shaping of our city's future. With my extensive background in finance including real estate construction lending and municipal bonds, I am committed to making it reasonably easy to follow in detail how all major decisions and settlements are determined.
