ENDORSEMENTS:

"Please join me in voting for Llewellyn Miller for Claremont city Council. He hopes to make available to citizens the facts concerning the manner in which the city and Redevelopment Agency spend money, and plans to disclose an exact accounting on what the return on future investments will be. We need this kind of fiscal clarity."

Roger Wheeler

"Claremont will benefit from Llewellyn Miller's leadership within the Claremont City Council. He is aware of and understands the many issues and needs of Claremont's children, youth and families.  He will consider action that continues to enhance the excellent services and programs currently provided for our community by the City of Claremont and her collaborative partners. His compassion for Claremont's children, youth and families will blend well with Claremont's city government.  While being a voice for thechildren, youth and families of Claremont, Llewellyn Miller will listen to
our voices."

Julia Mullinix

"One major reason for my support of Llewellyn Miller for council is his profound concern regarding the expansion of the Village. His long experience in the financial sector, including management of real estate assets, construction loans, and control and information systems, will be extremely valuable to the citizens of Claremont when the council is forced to deal with the difficult problems raised by the proposal for the development of Village West."

Karl S. Benjamin

It is truly refreshing to feel that someone actually considers us college students to be important members of the Claremont community, and is prepared to listen to our concerns and take them into account. This is a feeling I get from Llewellyn Miller, and one notably absent in our current city council.

Lenard Molina

The changes we're witnessing in Claremont require a changed City Council: a fresh point of view, different accents on key issues, technical and professional skills not currently represented. An experienced financial analyst with a passion for social justice and a demonstrated concern for his adopted city, Llewellyn Miller is smart, cares, is disciplined and brings a personal history needed for this time.

John Maguire

Llewellyn Miller is a fresh and sensitive progressive new voice in Claremont politics.
He has substance to bring: a thoughtful political analysis, extensive experience in financial planning and investment analysis, and a perceptive eye for our common issues of inclusivity as a community.
And he has style to bring. He is articulate, listens well and is carefully low-key. He celebrates what is going well in Claremont, and is creatively critical of what might be done better. He would bring a tonic and professional new energy to the Council.

Tom Ambrosi

"Llewellyn Miller asks constructive questions about how the City conducts its business. I appreciate that. I also appreciate his reasoned approach to issues, his fresh and independent perspective, his financial expertise, and his efforts to reach out to a wide range of Claremont's constituents. We are fortunate that he has chosen to put his name on the ballot. He deserves our support."

Lissa Petersen

I like the way he thinks. Even when I disagree with [Llewellyn] Miller, he frames the question in new ways and forces me to appreciate different perspectives."

Bruce White

Not only will Llewellyn Miller bring long-needed reform to a stagnant Claremont City Council, he genuinely listens to the student voice in Claremont. He will bring action and change founded in a deep sense of responsibility and concern for all members of the Claremont community.

Tom Krebs

Llewellyn Miller is soft-spoken , and knows how to listen; but he also has a remarkable ability to frame issues in such a way that basic problems are clarified rather than obscured. He does not dwell on the past, but looks clearly at the challenges for Claremont that lie ahead.

Claire and Lee McDonald

We think "Lew" will clarify for us and enable us to understand better the Council's purposes. The operational word here is transparency. It is not that the Council is devious, it is that we, as citizens, do not understand their motives at times; their deliberations appear secretive. "Lew" will open up their actions for us.

Helen-Jeanne And Len Munter

We are convinced that Llewellyn Miller is a candidate of principle, supportive of civil liberties, and strongly committed to government that welcomes participation by all members of the community. Please join us in voting for Llewellyn Miller for Claremont City Council.
