Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Rich Rodriquez

Candidate for
Chief of Police; City of Santa Clara

This information is provided by the candidate

These are some ideas Rich has about the future of the Police Department:

Increased Community involvement and participation by formation of a Volunteers In Policing program.

Positive interaction with schools and other City departments.

Expansion and increased support of the PAL Program.

Restructuring the Crime Prevention Program with emphasis on child assaults, elderly abuse, domestic violence and a higher degree of interaction with business and industry.

Establishment of a Neighborhood Mediation Board to resolve neighbor disputes.

Greater interaction and communication with the Fire Department and other City units to create a Public Safety umbrella.

We already have the people we need at the Police Department to make these ideas blossom into reality. What we need is your help to get our message to the voting public. We will present to the citizens of Santa Clara a Police Department that will be more humanistic, efficient and caring. Our goal will be to provide a high level of protection and service which will make our City a safe place to live, work and raise our children.
