Respond to complaints regarding abandoned vehicles

Prepare Quarterly Financial Report
Attend Quarterly AVASA meeting

Parking Enforcement:

Performance appraisals for parking personnel
Monitor individual performance
Assess and budget for equipment needs
Level One Parking Citation Reviews
Attend Level Two Parking Citation Hearings with City Attorney
Level Two Hearing Officer for Santa Clara University parking citations
E-Tech Manager's Report
Respond to complaints regarding parking and parking enforcement
Residential Parking Permit Program
A-Frame enforcement
Planning Department liaison

Traffic Investigators: Performance appraisals for Hit and Run Investigator and Court Liaison

Review reports and case closures
Supervise fatal collision investigations
Attend fatal collision autopsies
Review 30-day impound tows
Publish yearly Traffic Legal Update

Special traffic related events:

4th of July
Silicon Valley Marathon
Carousel to Coaster Run
Holy Spirit Parade
High School Homecoming parades
Los Gatos Bicycle Club Ride
All other parades and processions

Other Responsibilities:

Mayor's Officer liaison
Respond to City Manager Assignments
Respond to City Attorney's Office Assignments
Traffic Engineering liaison
Attend public Traffic Calming community meetings with Traffic Engineer
Prepare Agenda Reports for City Council
Attend monthly Bicycle Advisory Committee Meetings
Bicycle Safety Helmet Program
Attend quarterly meetings of Traffic Safe Communities Network
Attend monthly meetings of the Red Light Running Group
Installation of Red Light Indicators at critical intersections
Attend monthly Valley Transportation Authority Safety Committee meetings
Conduct Tow Hearings to settle disputes
Track and request updated radar surveys for City streets
Track, maintain and purchase radar equipment and related records
Send our radar guns for yearly calibration
Radar trailer scheduling for City streets
Message sign scheduling and programming
Avoid the 13 planning and scheduling - Christmas and Labor Day
Sober Graduation planning and assignments
Sober Graduation presentations at participating schools
Develop traffic-related policies for implementation
Research traffic-related equipment, systems and techniques
Participate in CSO oral board examinations
Training Program for CSO l and ll's
Orientation for new CSO l and ll's
Maintain SWITRS Reports
Maintain Title 13 Manual
Traffic violator letters
Cover on Patrol for vacations/schools/emergencies
