Opening and developing good lines of communication

By Joe Leber, Jr.

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Pittsburg Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Opening and developing good lines of communication is the key in resolving issues in the Pittsburg Unified School District.
Everyone is so focused on the politics of the school board that they are missing a very important issue: opening and developing good lines of communication. There are always at least two sides to every story. There needs to be an understanding of what each side feels before reasonable and sound decisions are made that effect everyone. Mainly, I realize that there is a lot of finger pointing. This never resolves anything. I want us all to work together. When a decision is made I want to have everyone walk away feeling good about what they have accomplished. No matter what the circumstances, I would like to establish mutual respect. Communication is the first thing that needs to happen. From there we can start working on all of the issues.
