Improving patient satisfaction.

By Eduardo Kneler

Candidate for Member, Board of Hospital Directors; Washington Township Health Care District

This information is provided by the candidate
the hospital is redesigning different areas to accomodate present needs as well as future expectations.
Patient satisfaction remains high in my list of priorities. The Emergency Room is one of our critical services. Our physicians are the best, totally dedicated and compassionate. The number of visits has increased as our population has grown. We are in the process of designing and building a totally new emergency room that will reduce waiting time and provide the environment that our patients deserve. The Critical Care/Coronary Care (CC/CC) unit needs space and privacy. Seriouly ill patients are cared for in that area. Our new CC/CC unit, inspired in the best designs in the US, is in the making. Teams are pouring over space plans with a view to keep those critically ill patients connected with their physicial environment, so that this will be a positive factor in their recovery. A Women's Center is close to my heart as a Gynecologist. Different pieces of this project are falling into place. Some are already operative, like Osteoporosis Screening and Mamography. I am very proud to have been heavily involved in the decisions leading to such improvements.
