Strong Advocate for the Environment

By Terry Alan Trumbull

Candidate for Supervisor; County of Santa Clara; Supervisorial District 5

This information is provided by the candidate
As Chairman of the Californian Waste Management board, Trumbull funded the startup of curbside recycling in Palo Alto, Sunnyvale and Los Altos. Trumbull worked for the cities of Cupertino, Mountain View and Los Altos to start their household hazardous waste programs. In addition, he served on the County's energy committee. If elected, he would chair the County's Pollution Prevention Committee. Since 1984, Trumbull has been a problem solver for more than 200 cities and counties, typically being called on to develop a solution to the city's most pressing environmental or land use problems. That skill is of vital importance as the 5th District Supervisor historically has represented Santa Clara County on the Bay conservation and Development commission.
