  • to have authored the Adopt-a-Beach/Adopt-a-Creek program,
  • to fight for strict controls on offshore oil production,
  • to have initiated the Local Vendor Outreach Program and the first County Economic Development Program,
  • and to have led the effort to develop performance-based budget accountability of county departments.

  • Preserve our coastline, natural resources and community character.
  • Promote a healthy local business climate and strengthen and enrich opportunities for our children and families.
  • Maintain the highest standards of public health, safety and emergency response.
