  • Occupation: Santa Barbara County Supervisor, First District
  • It has been an honor for me to represent the people of the First District on the County Board of Supervisors
  • I am proud to have led the creek water quality testing and city-county action plan,
  • to have authored the Adopt-a-Beach/Adopt-a-Creek program,
  • to fight for strict controls on offshore oil production,
  • to have initiated the Local Vendor Outreach Program and the first County Economic Development Program,
  • and to have led the effort to develop performance-based budget accountability of county departments.
