EXPERIENCE

Jan 85 - Present Anaheim City Attorney Prosecution Section - Deputy II

My duties encompass all aspects of a misdemeanor deputy, master calendar, 2 years in arraignment court, trial experience includes approximately 125 jury trials.

As a master calendar deputy, I have handled over 100 cases in one day without help from any other deputies in my office. My strengths include a hard work ethic, good people skills, and an ability to accept instruction well.

I have previously been in the rotation as a Judge Pro Tem in small claims at North Court in Fullerton, CA. I have completed the program, "How To Be a (Better) Small Claims Court Judge" on September 12, 1992.

Jan 83 - Jan 85 County of Riverside - Deputy III

Duties with Riverside were, one and one half years of preliminary hearings, five jury trials, all aspects of misdemeanor defense. I Hired as a Deputy 1 within six months elevated to a Deputy 3. I was also in charge of the outlying court in Perris, CA.

With the County of Riverside I settled 90% of my cases in my clients favor. I completed 7 jury trials.

Apr 80 - Jan 83 Law Office of Terese M. Scanlon - Proprietor

My practice primarily consisted of criminal law with the majority of my business coming from conflicts appointments in L.A. I tried approximately Fifteen jury trials and handled miscellaneous civil cases ranging from Divorce to Real Estate.

I sat as a Judge Pro Tem in Los Angeles on traffic cases.

May 79 - Apr 80 Jacoby and Meyers - Attorney

Interviewed clients, handled Divorce and other civil cases. Including Probate, Wills and Trusts

I completed an instruction course for Domestic Law Certification. I handled numerous OSC"s and other civil court appearances.
