Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Rebecca Dawn Kaplan

Candidate for
For Councilmember, At Large; City of Oakland

This information is provided by the candidate

For each issue that I encounter as a city councilperson, my thoughts and policies will be informed by my core belief in social justice, economic equity, ecological sustainability and grassroots democracy. I will bring energy and vitality, and an intelligent, creative, coalition-building approach to any challenges we face. I believe that we can have a city with good jobs, decent affordable housing, a vibrant commercial and entertainment sector, a public transportation system that works well at all hours, and air and water that is safe for all of us. Please see my full platform (on the campaign website) for specific ideas. I look forward to working together to build Oakland's future.
