Questions & Answers

1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?

Loveland is part of the bustling Northeast Corridor. Therefore anything which makes commuting easier, makes coming to work in Loveland easier, or would be attractive to companies relocating here is great. Public transportation means less traffic, pollution and cost.

2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.

I would support these ideas regarding campaign finance regulations. These regulations would eliminate unqualified people who win elections merely because they have access to a lot of money. A limit on contributions would make elected officials have to prove their merit rather than their monetary worth.

3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?

I am in favor of pro-active planning strategies which will preserve the community character of Loveland, and quality of life in Loveland. Measured development is better than uncontrolled patchwork development, which patchwork development is not aesthetically pleasing.
