Our village is very fortunate to have a few small, thriving businesses.
Our village is very fortunate to have a few small, thriving businesses. most of Vine Street consists of empty buildings and second hand stores rarely open to the public. We must use the thriving businesses as a foundation to build upon. opening the lines of communication between these businesses and town hall is a good starting place.

There are two considerations when discussing this dilemma: short term- for immediate solutions and long term- for results.

Short term solutions are extremely delicate and difficult, but not impossible. Though we have been told, adamantly, that every measure of effort has been exhausted to accomplish this insurmountable task; I seriously doubt it.

Long term solutions include becoming involved in the on-going discussions and planning for the proposed light rail system. Elmwood Place in the central location in Hamilton County and we should use this factor to our advantatge. A light rail terminal in our village would definitely open the doors to new business growth and investment that would provide job opportunities and tax dollars for our waning economy.
