Full Biography for Roger F. Jewett

Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Buenaventura

A native of Ventura, Roger's family has lived in the community since before the turn of the Century. He graduated from Ventura High and holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Stanford University.

Roger had a successful career in engineering, management and business development in the information systems and telecommunications industry. He is retired and has been active in public service since 1986.

While living in Washington state, he was twice elected to the hospital board and served as Chairman for four years. He was also a member of the Port District citizens advisory committee, City business development committee and national All American Cities competition.

Roger, his wife Cheri and their two grandsons live in the Ondulando area. He has owned commercial property on Main Street for 15 years. The family participates in Little League, Youth Soccer, the Surfrider Foundation, the Assistance League and the Parent Teachers Organization.
