I am a 19 year resident of Daly City, graduating from Ben Franklin Intermediate School in 1981 and Westmoor High School in 1985. I received a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in History from San Francisco State University in 1990. I work in public relations as a freelance writer and copy editor.

I believe very strongly in public service and education as the key for success in life. It's been my honor to serve the community as:

  • Vice President, Daly City Library Board of Trustees
  • Chairman-designate, San Mateo County Peninsula Library System Advisory Board
  • Past Vice President, Daly City Friends of the Library
  • Board Member, Friends & Foundations of California Libraries
  • Board Nominee, CALTAC (California Association of Library Trustees and Commissioners)
  • Vice President, Daly City/Colma History Guild
  • Community Relations Coordinator, Daly City/Colma RotaCare Administrative Council at Seton Medical Center
  • Past President, Daly City/Colma Democratic Club

I've also been awarded a commendation by the Daly City City Council for coordination and implementation of storm drain advisory stencils to protect the bay and ocean.
