Means to increase services to Gilroy's residents.
My desire to have Gilroy hire a FULL-TIME, EXPERIENCED,PROFESSIONAL grant writer is not a panacea for all problems, but it could be the financial cushion that makes it possible for Gilroy to provide more and better services to its residents. For instance, the community would benefit greatly from the addition of a Cultural Center For The Arts (the South Valley Community Church Campus would be an ideal site). Our efficient Fire and Police services would be enhanced with expanded and more adequate facilities. There are many other services that can be improved-----with additional funds; funds are available; it's simply a matter of tapping into them. Let's do it.
