TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
I always take the position that, whatever endeavor that I intend to attempt, I want to believe that I am right above all. Next, I ask myself, Do I want someone to impose this type of situation upon me, if I was on the other side of the issue? Once I am satisfied that I am doing the right thing in my heart, I ask God to help me to make the right decision and proceed with my objectives.

A former student at Tennessee State University, LaChelle A. Carter wrote this poem which describes my views: "FAILURE": " When it looks like I have failed, I find myself asking "Lord are you trying to tell me something?' Failure doesen't mean I'm a failure. It does mean I haven't succeeded yet! Failure doesen't mean I have not accomplished anything. It does mean I have learned something! Failure doesn't mean I have been a fool. It does mean I had enough faith to try! Failure doesn't mean I have been disgraced. It does mean I dared to adventure! Failure doesn't mean I don't have what it takes! It does mean I have to do something in a different way. Failure doesn't mean I'm inferior. It does mean I am not perfect. Failure doesn't mean I've wasted my life. It does mean I have an excuse to start over again! Failure doesn't mean I should give up. It does mean I must try harder! Failure doesn't mean I'll never make it. It does mean I must have a better idea!
