California State Income Tax

By Robert L. "Bob" Mulvany

Candidate for Member of the State Assembly; District 4

This information is provided by the candidate
California's economy lags other states because of excessive taxation and regulation. I would introduce legislation to end all subsidies and terminate all redundant agencies and commissions making it possible to abolish the state income tax.
Californians are among the most highly taxed citizens in the US, making us less competitive in business and industry. We know that cutting taxes creates more opportunity in the private sector. But, taxes are only a symptom of a more basic problem--unrestrained spending. I have a workable plan to halt spending on subsidies and pork. Next, I would slash dozens of boards and agencies. Then we can easily make the California economy the strongest in the world by by eliminating the state income tax.
