Full Biography for Robert Bentley

Board Member; San Mateo County Board of Education; Trustee Area 1

Robert Bentley, born and raised in San Mateo California earned a B.A. degree in American and British History at the University of California, Santa Cruz where he received Chancellor Dean E. McHenry's personal award for excellence in motivational education design.

Robert achieved a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont and received the National Teacher's Medal from the Freedom's Foundation at Valley Forge Pennsylvania for inspiring patriotism in youth through the performing arts.

While Headmaster of the Performing Arts School, within the Belmont School District, Robert developed, implemented and successfully managed annual budgets. Robert Bentley has a proven track record in achieving budgetary results with minimum investment.

As an Educator Robert Bentley has been an innovative leader in education/communication course design. Robert has been a guest lecturer at U.C. Santa Cruz, College of San Mateo, City of Belmont and the National Association of Broadcasters.

In addition to Robert Bentley being the recipient of The National Teachers Medal, He has also been honored with the Hagar Award, UCSC Chancellor's Award and various P.T.A. Awards and recognition's.

Robert Bentley's voluntary contributions to the community include Human Relations Commissioner City of San Mateo, Arts Commission President, City of Belmont, Television Network Speaker on behalf of Public Education, Guest Lecturer - U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Robert Bentley has held the post of the Security Services Training Manager, for Visa International World Headquarters.

Robert Bentley's achievements for Visa International included the design and implementation of training courses, the facilitation and presentation of training seminars for Corporate Executives, Managers, Supervisors and Staff Personnel. In addition Robert originated and implemented employee recognition programs, produced and directed corporate training video's, particiapted in development of the Corporate Strategic Plan for Security Services and coordinated Department Heads toward focused Corporate goals.

Robert Bentley is affiliated with the California Teachers Association, National Education Association, Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
