Political Philosophy for Kathy De Rosa

Candidate for
City Council Member; City of Cathedral City

This information is provided by the candidate

I believe in the promise and importance of city government, however I have concerns about its current effectivness. Change in how we view our role and improvements in how we do business will occur if council members think carefully about their fiduciary and moral responsibilities. As policy makers, they should be exposed to balanced information from a variety of sources and prespectives. Without any vested interest in a particular way of doing things, I bring a willingness to ask new questions and a readiness to bring broader and longer term perspectives to deliberations. With my years of experience working with city staff I believe I can play a valuable role in the future of our city. I will be fair in my deliberation, equitable in my decisions and respectful to all.
