Beach Trail

By Susan Elizabeth Ritschel

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of San Clemente

This information is provided by the candidate
I am opposed to the construction of a beach trail, and urge the City to take a much more proactive role in preserving our natural beaches.
I am opposed to the beach trail, and any activity or action that could potentially harm our natural beaches. What I support is an increased focus, and a more proactive approach by the City, on beach preservation. I therefore have recommended to the current City Council that a Beach Preservation Committee be established to focus solely on issues affecting our beaches, and would support San Clemente's participation in the California Shore and Beach Preservation Association and other recognized organizations that work toward preserving and enhancing the coastline.
