1. Hold crime in check. I believe that every judge has the responsibility to do what he can to halt all crime. This does not mean punishment of the innocent. This does not mean getting rid of constitutional guarantees. But it does mean that career criminals should not get soft treatment. I intend to be tough, very tough on hardened criminals. I will enforce the death penalty. Just as I was a tough prosecutor in the D.A.'s office I will be a tough judge.

2. Enforce the constitution. I believe that the constitution was a masterpiece of authorship. It should not be rewritten. It only needs to be enforced.

3. Victims need rightful treatment. Sometimes it seems that the convicted criminal has more rights than the victim. Victims need to be considered as people who need more respect and appreciation. Victims go through too much and receive so little from society. Much careful thought needs to be given on how we treat our victims.

4. Contributions & endorsements: No judicial candidate anywhere should ever accept any offereing from anyone. How does a judge repay when elected? Endorsements are the product of favoritism and often have nothing to do with whether the candidate is qualified for the job. Endorsements from groups like the Association of Orange County District Attorneys are misleading. Yet this group never even considered my candidacy. This group never enquired as to which candidate was most qualified for the job. This group never talked with me. This group never obtained any information about me. And this group does not represent the Orange County District Attorney's Office. How misleading is this type of endorsement? Almost all other endorsements are equally unfair or misleading. For this reason I will not obtain any endorsements.

5. All judicial candidates should be required to try at least 50 cases prior to becoming a judge. This is a judge's job - to try cases. Would you hire a lawyer to try your case when he/she never did it before? . Seasoned experience is a vital requirement for almost any job, especially that of being a judge. I have tried more than 100 cases, criminal and civil. This kind of experience should be a mandatory requirement for this job.
