Special Election

  • This special election is being held to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Senator Juan Vargas. Voters are from the district boundaries drawn for the 2002 election from San Diego, Riverside, and Imperial counties. The next regularly scheduled election will be held in 2014 using boundaries drawn after the 2010 census.
