What I bring to the table.
There are only approximately 9days left in this election cycle. What I see is voters have a choice between Kevin Martinez/ Jennifer Blanco, the incumbents or Andrew Mason / Chuck Zelnik, the challengers. The two incumbents have to stand on their record of 9 years and 8 years respectfully. In my opinion, their Biggest Blunder and or misstep is the deficit spending for the past 5 years at the rate of $2 million each year. At the end of the meeting at Parkside Intermediate School sponsored by the San Mateo County Office of Educations, the Board members made statements about the deficient spending. In my opinion, what they said was that they were sorry and did not know what they were doing. However, before their statement they had already extended David Hutt's contract and paid him even more money. I guess they got the message too late!

The incumbents failed to remove Superintendent David Hutt from his position for CAUSE , 5 years ago. Also they failed to follow the recommendations of the study report on Special Education causing the district money and programs, not to mention the loss of many employees. In my opinion, they have misused the $30.5 million from the sale of Carl Sandburg school site.

What I am able to offer to the people of the San Bruno Park School District is 6 years of experience as a San Bruno Park School District Trustee / Board member. While serving on the Board, my "Thinking Outside the Box", lead to the sale of the Carl Sandburg school for $30.5 Million; moving the Hoover preschool program from Carl Sandburg to Portola School which provides rent dollars to the district and feeds students into our district; new school building for Belle Air Elementary; remodeling of Portola school ; affordable pay raises for all staff members; and establishment of policies and procedures for the district. Also, I sat on numerous board committees and City commissions.

This is just a few accomplishments that I feel separate me from the other candidates.
