Candidate for
Board Member; San Carlos School District

I have been serving my country and community since I enlisted in the US Marines at 17 years of age in 1982 and have continued to serve my community, San Carlos, as a Transportation and Circulation Commissioner, Healthy Cities Tutor, and school volunteer.

As a Board Trustee I will:

1. Challenge the Status Quo.

2. Request a review of the District's Strategic Plan.

3. Support Academic Freedom for teachers dependent on student outcomes.

4. Advocate for financial sustainability of the District and target raising the reserve.

I don't agree on many issues with the current School Board. I plan on using my differences to elevate the conversation on all issues and bringing a unique perspective on the San Carlos School District's upcoming challenges.
