Candidate for Board Member; Redwood City School District

This information is provided by the candidate
I am running a simple grassroots campaign. As a working person who knows how difficult it is to raise and educate children in this county , I won't waste your time or money.
I am a candidate for the Redwood City School District Board of Trustees because I want our schools to be the best they can be and provide an education comparable to our affluent surrounding districts. I know there are many people just like me who also want the best learning environment for all children in our community.

I raised my children in Redwood City and I have worked in the school district for 30+ years as a Community Liaison for Project Family Learning, an instructional aide for the State Pre-school Program and as Office Manager for John F. Kennedy Middle School. I have also served as PTA President, was on the Committee to found Orion Alternative School and held various positions with California School Employees Association and was a past President of the CSEA Redwood City Chapter. I know how important it is to have parents, staff, teachers, and the community involved in educating all our children.

Our schools face many challenges, including inequality in funding and resources and an economy that makes it difficult for working families to participate in their children's education. I will work to make sure students and our schools have the resources they need to develop a love of learning and to have a successful academic experience.

Please vote for me. I have the knowledge and experience to meet the challenge.
