This information is provided by the candidate

My name is Clayton Koo and I am a lifelong Daly City resident and proud graduate of the Jefferson Elementary School District. I am committed to ensuring that our community continues to thrive - and key to that is providing the high-quality education that our students need to succeed.

My goal as a Governing Board member will be to help set out a clear vision for our schools for years to come through a fiscally responsible approach. I will prioritize finding opportunities to expand our schools' STEM programs to prepare our kids for good-paying 21st Century jobs so that they receive a well-rounded education.

I have firsthand knowledge of the issues the Jefferson Elementary School District is facing and I will bring that valuable experience to the Board. I have worked alongside parents and teachers while volunteering at local school programs and events, as well as with the community at large as the head of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Daly City community event. My experience working directly with students of all grades, elementary through college, provides me with a clear understanding of education issues affecting our students today.

I kindly ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
