Proposing 5 A's

The District's 3 Community Colleges need effective governance and leadership
The 5 A's

1. Accountability

As a governing board member, I will work with the board and district to ensure how actions rendered advance the interests of students and the presentation of curriculum and (2) protecting fiduciary responsibility by analyzing and weighing all facets of the budget and cost-benefits analysis and (3) by stewarding well and acting prudently with the funds provided by the community.

2. Accessibility

College registration should be easy, inexpensive and convenient. Courses should be available online as well as offered traditionally. Transportation to campuses should be offered.

3. Affordable

College should be affordable to all, especially to our neediest, impacted learners. Funding and alternate sources of grants and scholarships should be made available. Internships with Silicon Valley and bio-tech firms should be epanded to ensure students are prepared to enter the workforce.

4. Aptitude College success demands improved curricula and other academic resources. I will work to enhance our offerings and programs to ensure students can finish their college on time. No delays.

5. Attitude/alternate education Vocational work in automotive tech training heath related fields, etc should be also available to students who wish to learn a trade.
