Carol "Ann Bradley" Jordan was born and raised in the City of Compton. In her formative years she was recognized as a National Merit Scholar and received scholarships to attend California's prestigious Occidental College. It was during that time that Carol decided to dedicate her life to the honorable profession of teaching and give back to her community the rewards of learning that she received from committed teachers. She taught in the Compton Unified School District for twelve years and later, for over twenty years, in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Jordan labored unceasingly to provide her students with not only skills necessary to succeed in the "The Real World" as she calls it, but also to succeed on the post-secondary level where skills such as: reading comprehension, research and analysis and critical thinking are a must. During that time she was and remains a staunch supporter of teacher unions and was a union representative for two years in the Compton Education Association and a United Teachers of Los Angeles representative for seven years before she left the classroom to become a Title I coordinator and assistant principal. After returning to the classroom in 2009 she once again served as Chapter chair in 2011-12 and again was elected for 2015-2016.

Carol "Ann Bradley" Jordan, upon completing of her Master's Degree in Educational Administration with honors, went on to become a resourceful administrator in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Her leadership as principal of the Extended Learning academy led to a thirty increase in the school's CST scores that year. Through her nine years of experience as a Title I coordinator, she has expert knowledge of school budgets and has worked successfully with parents and community advisory and school site councils and other community projects.

Carol "Ann Bradley" Jordan was elected to the Compton Unified School District's Board of Trustees in 1998. As a teacher, administrator and union representative in both Compton and Los Angeles, Carol "Ann Bradley" Jordan's experience both in and out of the classroom, allows her to remain focused on the overall goals of increasing student performance on standardized test while remaining sensitive to the needs of both certificated and classified staff.

Currently, as a candidate for the office of School Board Trustee in Compton, She has pledged to focus her efforts on: increasing student performance on State standardize test, promoting an academic agenda to bolster student's graduation success ratios and finally, to ensure that all staff is fairly represented in a profession and just manner. Towards these ends Jordan plans to meet bi-monthly with union representing both classified and certificated service, lobby state and county officials regarding increased funding for classified and certificated pay, lessen health care co-payments,to work closely with the office of the superintendent towards meeting certain bench marks necessary to meet the Common Core Standards, promote parent trust and participation in the public school education process and increase staff professional growth. These are but a few of the reasons why the community supports Carol "Ann Bradley" Jordan for the office of school board.
