On Election Day

As a college professor, Joanna works every day to educate and guide her community's students. As a result, she knows where our schools are strong, and where they can improve to give our students the future they deserve. She is a proud product of our public schools. They gave her the preparation she needed to earn her B.A. from the University of Southern California and then a Master of Public Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.

Joanna began her educational career as a high school and college counselor. This experience inspired her holistic approach to student success and her belief that their achievement depends on teachers, school employees, and parents working together.

As your School Board Member, she will work to cut bureaucracy to get more money into our classrooms, expand after-school programs that keep kids safe, find creative ways to improve student performance, and increase access and opportunities for students to enroll in college. She is proud to have earned the endorsements of many parents, teachers, and school employees throughout our community. She would be honored by your vote on November 3rd.
