Thomas Jefferson said, "When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny." I believe that we have crossed that threshold of tyranny. The government now intervenes in every area of our lives. It believes that it has an answer and solutions for every ailment, every problem and every situation. Take a moment to consider; in what area of your does the government not have some spear of influence?

The whole purpose of government is to protect the rights of the people, not infringe upon them. " ... That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

I believe that government should be about doing the people business, and should not intervene or impose upon our lives more than is necessary.
