Use of the Rose Bowl

By Jacque Robinson

Candidate for Mayor; City of Pasadena

This information is provided by the candidate
The Rose Bowl is Pasadena's centerpiece, and one of many landmarks that place Pasadena on the world stage.
The Rose Bowl is Pasadena's centerpiece, and one of many landmarks that place Pasadena on the world stage. Vice Mayor Robinson is a proud supporter of preserving the stadium for future generations. That is why she voted to support the Rose Bowl renovation project that helped maintain its competitive edge against other modern stadiums throughout the country. To date the Rose Bowl Renovation Project has generated 13 million in local benefits and employed 270 Pasadena residents. We must continue to use it in a way that is respectful to neighborhood concerns like traffic and noise. It is clear that we reached the tipping point with the number of events in Summer 2014. Jacque supports keeping the number of displacement events at 12 per year with an option for the City Council to consider up to 2 additional events.
