I am running for the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees because I believe in the Community Colleges' ability to:

• Be a Game Changer for all students, particularly those students that are the first to go to college in their family or come from traditionally underserved communities.

• Offer Affordable Access to higher education and the educational pipeline.

• Deliver a pathway to economic mobility through training and targeted certificate programs.

• Enable partnerships between the business community and LACCD to encourage Economic Development throughout greater Los Angeles region.

My name is Francesca Vega and I am that person.

I Care - I care about the value of higher education for our students and our community.

I am Experienced - I have had a nearly ten year career in higher education as an administrator at UCLA and CSUN.

I am a Hard Worker - Throughout my career I have been willing to take on and complete difficult tasks by putting in the necessary effort to ensure success.

I am a Coalition Builder - I have been able to work with diverse constituencies throughout my career across race, gender, ethnicity, socio-economics and sexual orientation. My network of supporters reflects this diversity.

I am a Winner - I succeed at what I take on.
