Clint's Campaign Statement

By Clint Patterson

Candidate for Council Member; City of Rolling Hills

A Proven Track Record of Service to Rolling Hills
Dear Rolling Hills Neighbor:

I ask for your vote to apply my commitment and service to our community towards fulfilling the Council's responsibility to preserve Rolling Hills as we all want it to be.

Qualifications:

Rolling Hills is best served by electing Council members with strong records of constructive, cooperative community involvement. I believe in the guiding maxim of public service + "beholden to none, accountable to all' + I would enter the City Council with no obligations to anyone.

As a longstanding member of Caballeros, I served several terms as Caballeros President - focusing on safeguarding the rural nature of Rolling Hills, sponsoring annual outdoors events for the community, and encouraging the City Council and Community Association Board to make the critical investments needed to maintain our trails, paths, and easements for the enjoyment of all of our residents and for the enhancement of all of our property values.

I have been Block Captain for my neighborhood, keeping us prepared for any contingency through emergency response education, stockpiling of supplies, and improved house-to-house radio communications.

My professional experience as corporate executive and small business owner with commitments to service excellence will serve the community well in ensuring impartial and objective fact-driven decision-making.

The Council will have a full plate in the coming years, dealing with issues such as crime prevention and apprehension, fire protection, drought impact, fiscal policy, overhead wires and poles, trails and tennis court maintenance, zoning, sub divisions, undergrounding projects + while keeping our city expenses to a minimum. Getting all of these obligations done right requires, time, patience, knowledge and a willingness to listen and learn. I will listen a lot, speak little, and always vote with the best interests of the city at heart.
