Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Elisa Gonzalez

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Carson

This information is provided by the candidate

I would make a great candidate because I possess the following qualities that serve well in public office: experience, integrity, ethics, compassion, and optimism. In 2006, the unemployment rate in the City of Carson was 4.4%. It has substantially increased to 8.0%. If elected into office, I will create jobs and improve businesses. Most businesses or corporations are on temporary lease and hire employees through temp agencies which does not provide a reliable, stable way of maintaining a job. I would provide tax incentives for these corporations to remain in Carson. I would increase sales at the Southbay Pavilion by increasing the number of brand name department stores and improving its marketing techniques and promotional materials. I am also determined to have Trader Joe open a store in Carson.

I would repair damaged sidewalks and streets and support rent control for local mobile park residents. I would continue to support all of the programs offered by Parks and Recreation. Finally, I would extend the hours of the Carson Circuit.
