• Reduce class sizes
• Expand programs
• Enhance employee compensation
• Focus on increasing achievement for all students
• Provide a safe educational environment for all students
• Work with the state and city government on budget and resource issues to further improve the school facilities and ongoing needs
• Common Core - making sure our kids, teachers and family are provided with the resources they need for successful and beneficial integration
• Support and strengthen arts education
• Prepare and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for maintenance and support of equipment and technologies presently in use and to be implemented in the near future
• Support further transparency in the district's financials
• Strengthen athletic programs
• Introduce more after-school programs for all levels
• Improve student achievement to meet UC & CSU entrance requirements
• Work with the City government and businesses to build partnerships for vocational education and technology training
• Increase effective communication with community leaders, parents and students
• Have open door policy and listen to all suggestions and ideas.
