Biographical Highlights
  • Occupation: Associate Justice
  • Law degree from Stanford University Law School and philosophy degree from Brown University
  • Practiced law for 30 years as a civil trial attorney with the law firm of McInnis, Fitzgerald, Rees, Sharkey & McIntyre
  • Appointed to San Diego Superior Court in 1993 by Governor Pete Wilson; San Diego Superior Court Executive Committee Member 1995 and 1996
  • Appointed Associate Justice in 1996 by Governor Pete Wilson; confirmed by voters in 1998 and 2002
  • Have served several years as a hearing officer in disputes between the Superior Courts and their employees
  • Master of the Enright Chapter of American Inns of Court and Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers

  • Ensure the rights of all parties appearing before the Court of Appeal
