Accomplishments

Candidate for Council Member; City of Cloverdale

Despite the great recession many accomplishments have been made, including:
  • Water System Improvements - $4.2 Million in improvement project. The completion of 3-new wells increased system production by about 1.2 - 1.8 million gallons per day.

  • Water De-Aeration Project - $250,000 grant = saving 30,000 gallons of water that was sent back through treatment units to backwash ponds.

  • Airport Layout Plan = $88,000 grant

  • Airport Obstruction Survey & Mitigation Plan = $81,000 grant

  • Rotary Club sponsored BBQ Refurbishment Project at City Park.

  • Clover Springs Open Space = in partnership with Sonoma County - secured a $313,000 grant - to fund improvements.

  • Replaced the badly damaged Porterfield Creek Pedestrian Bridge - $16,000 project

  • Safe Routes to School Phase 1- $320,000 grant = completed sidewalks between Citrus Fair and South Street, including crosswalks and signage.

  • Safe Routes to School Phase 2 - $250,000 grant to fund completion of sidewalks along three sections on the west side of Cloverdale Blvd, from Furber Shopping Center to South Street.

  • CAPE PROGRAM (Crisis, Assessment, prevention, Education) - in partnership with Sonoma County to fund the CAPE program is Cloverdale = An early intervention strategy specifically designed to intervene with youth who are at risk. Risk factors include: Substance use, trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicide. Secured $75,000 per year for 3-years with a $25,000 per year match by Cloverdale Unified School District = total of $100,000 per year.

  • River Park improvements (off McCray Road) = Sonoma County will be making $220,000 worth of improvements to install restrooms and water.

  • Updated General Plan = protects our hillsides

  • Installed restrooms = Vintage Meadows Park

  • Rebuilt 5 tennis courts in partnership - between the City of Cloverdale, Cloverdale Unified School District and Cloverdale Tennis Association

  • Completed a new Fire Station, History Center, and Performing Arts Center
