Smart Voter Full Biography for Ana M. Pulido

Candidate for
Board Member; Ravenswood City School District

This information is provided by the candidate

ANA M. PULIDO

Occupation: School Board President

Education and Qualifications:

Having served on the Ravenswood City School District Board of Trustees for the past four years, the last two of which I served as Board President, I have helped lead a dramatic transformation in the way we prepare our students for future academic and career success. We secured millions of dollars from non-profit foundations to support science, technology, math and engineering initiatives, improved early literacy, music programs, increased preschool opportunities and developed a district-wide community/schools safety net for all students. We are ensuring a solid academic high school transition for students and supported a boundary change that puts all Ravenswood students into one high school, Menlo Atherton. We worked to retain quality teachers by increasing wages, improving accountability, providing better professional development and training, and worked with our teachers to add school days back to the academic calendar.

It has been my honor serving the Ravenswood community these past years, time I have spent fighting for positive change in our schools. I ask for your continued support to keep me in office so I can continue to help navigate the tough issues during this critical time and move our schools and community forward so that our students can thrive.
