Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

Open access, open hearts and open minds. If we expand the trails we have, allow for more multi-use trails, and more biking trails, more people will come to open space and fall in love with it. If you win over people's' hearts, their minds will follow. Let's be inclusive, bringing pedestrians, bicyclists and equestrians together to make memories and enjoy the outdoors together.

Water is the foundation of life, so let's prioritize the water-related Measure AA projects first! There are 25 projects to be completed, given that we are in a drought, we should make water projects our starting point. This will help save fragile habitats and promote fire safety.

Do not threaten to take people's property away with eminent domain. Instead, give people the chance to be generous and offer to donate land to the Midpeninsula Open Space! You would be surprised how excited people are to contribute to a worthy cause when you are not coercing them into doing so!

Take care of what you have first, then look to grow. The Midpeninsula Open Space District has over 62,000 acres. Let's make the land we have such a fantastic place to visit that people want to come explore!
