Thoughts on Leadership

Without visionary leadership, nothing happens. A CSD Director should be able to describe in a compelling manner where we are headed and why it's important. Better yet, she/he should have actually "been there" in one's own experience in order to convey reasons for proposed action;

In addition, a CSD Director needs to have the talent to envision, understand and describe-- in short punchy steps-- how we get from now to our goal. What are the intermediate tangible steps? Who is doing what? How do we know/measure when a step is successful?

Meeting processes need to be much less confronting and much more interactive and problem-solving in flavor, a challenge for all of us. There are simple strategies and tactics to improve on these issues. Those approaches can help us become more positively engaged with one another.

If elected, I will be an active CSD Board member. I will do my best to move forward the business of the CSD, strive to improve how we work together, and enable the positive development of our town by the sea.
