In many ways my campaign for County Clerk-Recorder is the next logical step in my career. Nine years ago, Julie Rodewald hired me as the Assistant Clerk-Recorder (second in command). Since then I have worked closely with her conducting dozens of elections, setting departmental policies, and implementing office procedures and technology upgrades. I have been the department's coordinator on the move into the new North County Service Center at the Atascadero Library and spearheaded the use of GIS technology in redistricting and maintaining precinct maps. As a county employee for over eleven years, I was also part of the department's budget team successfully navigating the Seven-Year Pain Plan without a single layoff.

A bachelor's from Cal and MBA from SF State, I was also among the very first to complete the California Professional Election Administrator Certification program. Being part of upper management, our office takes great pride empowering staff to contribute and participate in large-scale projects such as elections. As your County Clerk-Recorder, I pledge to maintain the focus on customer service and integrity in our office, building upon Julie's excellent track record of successfully protecting county records and conducting impartial, fair and transparent elections.

I have received broad support and endorsements from numerous county leaders: all five County Supervisors, State Senator Bill Monning, County Auditor Jim Erb, Assessor Tom Bordonaro, Sheriff Ian Parkinson, Superintendent of Schools Julian Crocker, and 5 City Mayors, including the entire City Councils of Arroyo Grande, Atascadero and Pismo Beach. Please join them in electing me as your next County Clerk-Recorder on June 3rd!
