About Len Colamarino

City Government Len has been a member of the Atascadero Planning Commission since January 2009.

Personal Information Len was born in 1951 in Rochester, New York. He is married to Robin Noble, a licensed marriage and family therapist who volunteers as a counselor at Atascadero High School.

Education Len graduated in 1973 from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in economics with highest honors. Len graduated in 1976 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree and a position as a staff editor on the Law Review.

Career Experience Len practiced business law in New York City from 1976-2004, where he founded and managed a successful corporate law firm with a national and international practice, including clients with operations in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Len has served, and continues to serve, as a director and officer of several successful companies. Len has worked with industries ranging from agriculture to advanced technology, as well as with local, state, and federal bureaucracies, in the following areas:

  • Negotiations
  • Contracts
  • Litigation
  • Arbitration and dispute resolution
  • Fiscal management

Other Activities Len is a member of the Board of Directors of the Atascadero Historical Society. Len served a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of San Luis Obispo County. Len served as a volunteer consultant for the Small Business Development Corporation in San Luis Obispo County. Len is an avid bicyclist and an enthusiastic participant in local cycling events.
