Cesar Chavez said: "Being of service is not enough. You must become a servant of the people." I want to thank our community for the privilege of serving the students, parents and teachers. I have volunteered for years at the schools my children have attended. When we moved here twenty-two years ago, people said "put your kids in Lincoln or private schools." But we decided to put our kids in Stockton Unified and are glad we did. My oldest daughter graduated from Stagg High. My son graduated from Franklin High and my baby girl graduated from Chavez High. I am a local businessman that has managed to survive the recession without laying off a single employee. I love Stockton and have been proud to call it my home. Thanks to Stagg, Franklin, and Chavez High Schools, my three children are going to be college graduates and helping other people in the health care profession (psychology, nursing, and physical therapy). I want to help make your kids dreams come true as well, because every child deserves a great education regardless of income. |
