Improve Tech Infrastructure

By Thomas Patrick Moyer

Candidate for Member, Community College Board; County of San Francisco; 2 Year Short Term

CCSF needs to be able to simplify the enrollment process and better track student's progression.
Some of the most frequent complaints (besides parking issues) that I hear from students are that the enrollment process is needs to be more streamlined. Secondarily, many go to one of the 11 campuses around the city with industry specific councilor's offices being located elsewhere. Due to the number of campuses, CCSF has a unique challenge that can be addressed by doing the following:

A) Drive easier enrollment by making the online registration easier and

B) Do a better job at tracking student progression and identify those in danger of not graduating (or graduating on time). The school need to be proactive in this matter as some students can get frustrated with the system and simply give up. This cannot happen.
