Board Member; San Dieguito Union High School District

There is little diversity on the current Board. They all have similar backgrounds. I believe it's important to have at least one Board member who is a parent with children still in the District and that's why I'm running.

I am seeing the effects of the new Common Core curriculum firsthand as I help my kids with their homework. And all the decisions being made by the Board now will directly affect the quality of my children's education.

My approach to fiscal matters is conservative while acknowledging there are very real needs for students now especially in the area of technology.

I also believe that Board members should be accessible to parents, teachers, administrators and students. I am not afraid to engage on issues and learn about all points of view.
