Candidate for
Council Member; Town of Los Gatos

Born on "The Space Coast," in Florida, Steve Leonardis and the rest of the Leonardis Family came to the "Valley of Hearts Delight" from Cocoa Beach, Florida in the 1970's. Steve's parents moved his family to Los Gatos in 1987, drawn by the schools, the hillsides, the history, the culture, and the amazing downtown.

Steve's dad was an engineer at Lockheed and Grumman and his mom was a community volunteer, realtor, and mother of six. Steve's family owned and lived in two Los Gatos homes. One was a Victorian circa 1910, which received the "Bell Ringer Award" from the Town of Los Gatos in 1987, on Los Gatos's 100th anniversary. The other home is a hillside home where Steve and his wife, Mary, and their family reside today.

Steve graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and worked at technology companies IBM, HP and Mercury Interactive. In 2003, Steve started his own company, Boulevard Financial Group, a real estate finance firm. Steve has a real estate broker's license and currently is employed with Coldwell Banker of Los Gatos.

Mary and Steve are parents of two children who attend Fisher Middle School and Los Gatos High School. Mary and Steve are both active volunteers in Los Gatos. Mary is currently a volunteer for Project Cornerstone, Fisher School Library, Art Docents, and various other projects.

Steve has volunteered his time working for Los Gatos Music and Arts, the organization that runs Jazz on the Plazz and Music in the Park. Steve is a member of the Los Gatos Kiwanis Club and is an advisor to K-Kids at Lexington and Van Meter Elementary Schools. In addition, Steve has coached 16 seasons of youth soccer and baseball.

• West Valley Sanitation District Board of Directors
• Finance Committee
• Santa Clara County Housing and Community Development Advisory Committee
• Santa Clara Valley Water District Commission
• Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority Policy Advisory Committee
• West Valley Solid Waste Management Joint Powers Authority Board of Directors
• Steve was elected by the voters to serve Los Gatos Town Council on November 2nd 2010. Steve is currently serving as Mayor of Los Gatos until November of 2014.
